Feedly and Diigo

In this second session of the course, the topics covered were fundamental.

We are in the age of communication and information and an ever greater mastery of an information flow that is vastly superior even to that of only a decade ago is required.


The difficulty of mastering this flow is increased by the fact that information on the web is unstructured so that the information search process can no longer be compared to that typical of an organized source such as a library or an encyclopedia.

Also in the educational field the problem begins to be much more felt and pressing to the point that we start talking about a new model of teacher / student: the "infotective": it is a neologism coined for those who possess the ability to collect information in an efficient and effective way, like a real detective able to represent and re-elaborate data transforming them into knowledge useful for solving problems.


On the wave of what has just been said, today, we can make use of several different pages or resources on the Web that can help us discriminate information, create our databases and save Internet addresses of topics of our interest. In this case what interests me is the area of ​​teaching Education; using Feedly I was able to reach the links of several magazines of interest, and through Diigo I was able to save many of the web addresses of the main journals in my research area.
I will continue to use these tools to improve my research work and optimize my time.
